The Best Day to Manifest in August, According to a Witch & Astrologer
Well, hello, gorgeous! As a thank you for joining my newsletter, I thought I’d start up a monthly series that features the best day of the month to manifest and/or perform magick based on astrology. The days I select will vary for different purposes and I will describe some of the pros and cons of the chart each month. I’ll also offer advice on what I’d recommend using this magical portal/window of time for + identify how to use this energy to your cosmic advantage.
I took Nina Gryphon’s Magical Elections course in the Fall of 2021 and ever since, I’ve been incorporating more astrological magick into my practice. Nina is a whiz + a pro, cannot recommend her work enough. As I continue to dabble and try out various charts to hone my skills and learn more about what works and what to avoid, I thought I’d invite you in on my journey.
Here’s a little big about the chart I picked for this month:
The moon in Aries is: angular, conjunct the Ascendant + separating from a trine with Venus in Leo in the 5th house and forming a conjunction with Jupiter in Aries in the 1st house
Why Is This Delicious? I’m so glad you asked! The moon rules the 4th + 5th house, bringing in themes or focuses related to property, living situation, family, legacy, creativity, fertility, pleasure, joy and rewards. Venus is in the 5th house amplifying those themes of pleasure/joy/creativity/success and it’s connecting with Jupiter in the 1st house—your self/identity. Jupiter also rules the 9th house which is good for matters related to publishing, travel, education, sharing expertise/public speaking, and spirituality. It’s also intercepted in the 12th house, which can double down on the spirituality theme or also activate themes related to our subconscious, limiting beliefs, loss or rest/healing.
What Type of Magick Can I Call in with This Chart? This chart feels really yummy for creative projects, hobbies/passion projects, success of personal goals/ambitions, moving/renovating your home, healing family stuff, more confidence, more pleasure/play, reconnecting with your sexuality, doing inner child healing + more positivity.
The ascendant ruler is banged up + kinda intense. It’s Mars in Taurus in the 2nd house, separating from a square with Saturn in the 12th. This could signal financial issues or increased spending. Mars is in detriment in Taurus and isn’t aspecting any other planets until it enters the sign of Gemini. The ascendant ruler is a malefic.
I’m curious how the adorable benefic aspects of this chart will play out so I’ll be performing a spell under this chart. There’s a lot of fire sign energy in this chart, so I think candle magick would be cute.
August Spell:
Grab a candle + bonus points if you get a specific color candle to amplify your intention (green/abundance, pink/love, yellow/success, etc.)
Write a statement of what you’re calling in. “I am a published author.”
Cross out any letters that repeat. Cross out any vowels. With the remaining letters, piece them together to draw a symbol. This is your sigil. There is no right or wrong, your intuition knows best.
Carve the sigil into your candle + dress the candle with specific oils you may have (I love cinnamon to call in more prosperity)
Cast your protective circle (if you’re just getting started you can access my Spell Starter Kit here). Light your candle, state your intention, call on any benevolent spirits, ancestors, guides, angels, etc. that you work with. Petition/pray for their assistance. Stare into the flame. Visualize your manifestation. Start to feel it physically in your body. Dance—amp up that magical feeling that your manifestation already is + trust/surrender to the Universe. When you embody the feeling and bring it into the phsyical realm, especially through dance, it connects your desires you’ve dreamed up in the astral realm into our earthly physical realm. Burn the candle until it goes out and discard the remains outside of your home.
